o6o International was founded in 2004 by a multi-national team of professionals with long experience in industry and strategy consulting, with presence in Ireland, The Netherlands, Spain and the USA.

This founding team had broad experience in marketing, sales and business and technology strategy and a desire to work with clients in a no-nonsense manner.

One of the most common questions we get is "where does that name come from?"
Like many things - it's a long story.

It started off as the name of a lecture theatre where one of the founders went to university and spent far too long studying mathematics and thermodynamics.

Then it became a symbol of our people's unusual combination of numeracy and literacy.

After that things got a little complicated and esoteric. The telecom people thought it would be good to have a three-letter-abbreviation (a TLA) as the name of a firm that did lots of work with telecom clients - after all this is the industry that sold people exciting new products with names like SMS and WAP and ISDN and ADSL and 3G. Surely they'd appreciate a name like o6o.

In the end we realized that once people got over their initial curiosity they remembered the name. We couldn't ask for more in a brand.
